    Market participants are requested to note that the shareholders of Melco  
    International Development Limited ("MELCO INT'L DEV") have approved the   
    subdivision of shares on the basis of 1 then existing ordinary shares ("  
    Old Shares") of MELCO INT'L DEV into 2 new ordinary shares ("New Shares").
     Effective from today (19/05/2005), a temporary counter under stock code  
    2981 and stock short name "MELCO INT'L DEV" will be established for       
    trading in board lots of 4,000 New Shares each to replace the previous    
    counter (stock code: 200) for trading in board lots of 2,000 Old Shares   
    each.
