    PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTING POLICIES AND BASIS OF PRESENTATION                   
                                                                              
    The Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants ("HKICPA") has    
    converged all Hong Kong Financial Reporting Standards ("HKFRSs") with     
    International Financial Reporting Standards ("IFRSs") issued by the       
    International Accounting Standards Board at 1st January 2005.             
    Accordingly, the HKICPA has aligned HKFRSs with the requirements of       
    IFRSs in all material respects. The unaudited consolidated results        
    of the Group have been prepared in accordance with accounting             
    principles generally accepted in Hong Kong, accounting standards          
    issued by the HKICPA and the applicable disclosure requirements of
