    1. Basis of preparation                                                   
                                                                              
    The unaudited condensed consolidated financial statements of the          
    Group have been prepared in accordance with Hong Kong Financial           
    Reporting Standards, issued by the Hong Kong Institute of Certified       
    Public Accountants ("HKICPA"), accounting principles generally            
    accepted in Hong Kong and the disclosure requirements set out in          
    Chapter 18 of the Rules Governing the Listing of Securities on GEM.       
                                                                              
    The accounting policies adopted are consistent with those followed        
    in the preparation of the Group's annual financial statements for         
    the year ended 30 June 2004. The condensed consolidated financial         
    statements for the nine months ended 31 March 2005 should be read         
    in conjunction with the 2004 annual report.
