    At the request of Tianjin TEDA Biomedical Engineering Co. Ltd. (the       
    "Company"), trading in its H shares has been suspended with effect from   
    9:30 a.m. today (12/5/2005) pending the publication of announcement in    
    relation to placing of new H shares.
