    Acquisition, the notice convening the EGM and other                       
    information of the Company, will be dispatched to the                     
    Shareholders within 21 days from the publication of this                  
    announcement.                                                             
                                                                              
    On 3 May 2005, a newspaper article contained comments by                  
    a Director, Dr. Chen Yu Hong, in relation to, amongst other               
    things, the Company's parent company. The Directors would                 
    like to clarify that the Company does not have a parent                   
    company.                                                                  
                                                                              
    At the request of the Company, trading in the Shares on                   
    the Stock Exchange was suspended from                                     
    9:30 a.m. on 29 April 2005 pending the release of this                    
    announcement. Application has been made by the Company                    
    to the Stock Exchange for the resumption of trading in                    
    the Shares on the Stock Exchange with effect from 9:30
