    The Stock Exchange has received a message from Enerchina Holdings Limited 
    which is reproduced as follows:-                                          
                                                                              
    "This statement is made at the request of The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong 
    Limited (the "Stock Exchange").                                           
                                                                              
    The Directors have noted the increase in the price and the increase in    
    trading volume of the shares of the Company today and wish to state that  
    the Directors are not aware of any reasons for such increase in the price 
    and increase in trading volume.                                           
                                                                              
    Save as disclosed in the joint announcement dated 14 April 2005 issued by 
    the Company and Sinolink Worldwide Holdings Limited in relation to the    
    placing of shares of the Company, and the joint announcement dated 7 April
    2005 issued by the Company, Panva Gas Holdings Limited and Sinolink       
    Worldwide Holdings Limited in relation to the group restructuring, the    
    Directors also confirm that there are no negotiations or agreements       
    relating to intended acquisitions or realisations which are discloseable  
    under rule 13.23 of the Rules Governing the Listing of Securities on the  
    Stock Exchange (the "Listing Rules"), neither is the Board aware of any   
    matter discloseable under the general obligation imposed by rule 13.09 of 
    the Listing Rules, which is or may be of a price-sensitive nature.
