    Market participants are requested to note that the shareholders of China  
    Advance Holdings Limited ("CHINA ADVANCE") have approved the consolidation
    of shares on the basis of 5 then existing ordinary shares ("Old Shares")  
    of CHINA ADVANCE into 1 new ordinary shares ("New Shares").  Effective    
    from today (04/05/2005), a temporary counter under stock code 8391 and    
    stock short name "CHINA ADVANCE" will be established for trading in board 
    lots of 1,600 New Shares each to replace the previous counter (stock code:
    8117) for trading in board lots of 8,000 Old Shares each.
