    signal no. 8 or above or a ``black'' rainstorm warning being in force     
    in Hong Kong as described under ``Effect of bad weather on the opening    
    of the application lists'' in the section headed ``How to apply for       
    the Public Offer Shares'' in the Prospectus). It is expected that         
    the announcement of the Offer Price, the indication of the level          
    of interest in the Placing, the basis of allocation and the results       
    of applications for the Public Offer Shares (with successful              
    applicants' identification numbers) will be published in South            
    China Morning Post (in English) and the Hong Kong Economic Journal        
    (in Chinese) on 10th May, 2005.
