    The Stock Exchange has received a message from Maanshan Iron & Steel      
    Company Limited which is reproduced as follows:-                          
                                                                              
    "In submitting the Results Announcement Summary of Maanshan Iron & Steel  
    Company Limited dated 25 April 2005 to The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong    
    Limited, we have mistakenly filled in "To be announced" in the columns of 
    "B/C Dates for Final Dividend" and "B/C Dates for 2004 General Meeting"   
    due to the Company's internal miscommunication. In fact, "13/5/2005 to    
    14/6/2005" should be filled in the two columns."
