     1. The calculations of basic earnings per share is based on the Group's  
    profit attributable to the shareholders of HK$48,808,000                  
    (2004: HK$23,324,000)                                                     
                                                                              
    The basic earnings per share for the six months ended 31st January        
    2005 is based on the weighted average number of 301,500,500               
    (2004: 301,500,500) ordinary shares in issue during the period.           
                                                                              
    The diluted earnings per share for six months ended 31st January 2005     
    is based on the weighted average number of 301,500,500 ordinary           
    shares in issue during the year plus the 1,354,471 ordinary shares        
    deemed to be issued at no consideration as if all outstanding share       
    options had been exercised.                                               
                                                                              
    There was no potential dilutive shares in existence for six months        
    ended 31st January 2004 and therefore, no diluted earnings per share      
    was presented.                                                            
                                                                              
    2. At a meeting held on 25 Apr 2005, the directors declared an interim    
    dividend of Hong Kong 3.3 cents (2004: 3.0 cents)                         
    per share for the six months ended 31st January 2005.
