    JUDGEMENT OF THE SUPREME PEOPLE'S COURT OF THE PEOPLE'S                   
    REPUBLIC OF CHINA IN RELATION TO THE                                      
    LEGAL PROCEEDINGS BETWEEN NORTHWEST GROUP AND JING                        
    DIAN INVESTMENT                                                           
                                                                              
    The Company has been informed by Northwest Group that Northwest Group     
    has received the Judgement of Appeal on 18 April 2005 whereby it was      
    ordered, among other things, that the Judgement of First Instance         
    be cancelled and the case be sent back to the Supreme People's Court      
    of Shaanxi Province for re-trial.                                         
                                                                              
    At the request of the Company, trading in the Shares was suspended        
    with effect from 9:30 a.m. on 31 March 2005 and will continue to be       
    suspended pending the release of an announcement in relation to its       
    results for the year ended 31 December 2004.
