    The calculation of basic earnings per share is based on the Group's profit
    for the year of RMB 283,197,000 for the year ended 31st December 2004     
    (2003: RMB255,351,000) and the weighted average number of 1,613,300,000   
    shares (2003: 1,377,041,000 shares) in issue during the year.             
                                                                              
    Diluted earnings per share is not presented as the Company has no dilutive
