    3. Operating loss                                                         
                                                                              
    The Group recorded a net loss attributable to shareholders for            
    2004 of HK$7,816,000 (2003: HK$4,807,000).                                
                                                                              
    Total operating expenses increased by HK$496,000 to HK$14,166,000,        
    representing an increase of 3.6% over 2003.                               
                                                                              
    4. Loss per share                                                         
                                                                              
    The calculation of basis loss per share is based on the Group's loss      
    attributable to shareholders of HK$7,816,000 (2003: HK$4,807,000)         
    and on 1,246,350,000 (2003: 1,246,350,000) ordinary shares in issue       
    during the year.                                                          
                                                                              
    No diluted loss per share is presented as the exercise of the             
    subscription rights attached to the share options would not have a        
    dilutive effect on the loss per share.
