    1. BASIS OF PREPARATION                                                   
                                                                              
    The unaudited condensed financial statements have been prepared under the 
    historical cost convention and in accordance with the Statement of        
    Standard Accounting Practice No. 25 "Interim Financial Reporting" issued  
    by the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants.               
                                                                              
    The accounting policies adopted are consistent with those in the          
    preparation of the audited financial statements of the Group for the year 
    ended 30 June 2004.
