    2. Earnings per share                                                     
                                                                              
    The calculation of basic earnings per share is based on the net profit    
    attributable to shareholders of HK$7,175,000 (2003: HK$10,859,000) and the
    weighted average of 76,055,107 shares (2003: 61,456,891 shares) in issue  
    during the year.                                                          
                                                                              
    A diluted earnings per share amount for the year ended 31 December 2004   
    has not been disclosed as the share options outstanding during this year  
    had an anti-dilutive effect on the basic earnings per share for this year 
    (2003: HK$0.18).
