    1.   Principal accounting policies and basis of presentation              
                                                                              
    Shandong Weigao Group Medical Polymer Company Limited (the "Company")     
    was established and registered as a joint stock company with limited      
    liability in the People's Republic of China (the "PRC") under the         
    Company Law of the PRC on 28th December, 2000. Its ultimate holding       
    company is Shandong Weigao Group Company Limited, a company               
    registered in the PRC with limited liability.                             
                                                                              
    The Company's shares have been listed on the Growth Enterprise Market     
    ("GEM") of The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited (the "Stock            
    Exchange") since 27th February, 2004.                                     
                                                                              
    The Company is principally engaged in the research and development,       
    production and sale of single-use medical devices. The principal          
    activities of its major subsidiaries are engaged in the manufacturing     
    of medical PVC granules, plastic packing bags and                         
    carton boxes.                                                             
                                                                              
    The financial statements have been prepared under the historical cost     
    convention and in accordance with the accounting policies generally       
    accepted in Hong Kong.
