    (3) (LOSS) EARNINGS PER SHARE                                             
                                                                              
    The calculation of basic (loss) earnings per share is based on net profit 
    attributable to shareholders of approximately HK$72 million (2003 - net   
    loss attributable to shareholders of HK$214 million) and on 4.5 billion   
    ordinary shares issued upon the Restructuring, as if such shares had been 
    outstanding for the years ended 31 December 2003 and 2004.                
                                                                              
    The amount of diluted earnings per share is equal to basic earnings per   
    share as there were no potential dilutive ordinary shares in existence for
    the years ended 31 December 2003 and 2004.
