    At the request of Hon Po Group (Lobster King) Limited (the "Company"),    
    trading in its shares will be suspended with effect from 9:30 a.m. today  
    (8/2/2005) pending the release of an announcement of the Company in       
    relation to placing of convertible notes of the Company to individual     
    investors.
