    At the request of Chaoda Modern Agriculture (Holdings) Limited (the       
    "Company"), trading in its shares has been suspended with effect from     
    9:38 a.m. today (2/2/2005) pending the release of a further announcement  
    relating to the proposed issue of fixed rate Senior Guaranteed Notes by   
    the Company as first disclosed in the announcement dated 19 January 2005  
    of the Company.
