    CHANGE OF COMPANY NAME                                                    
                                                                              
    The Board is pleased to announce that the Company has                     
    changed its name from "China Everbright Technology                        
    Limited" to "China Haidian Holdings Limited" and has                      
    adopted the Chinese name "*" with                                         
    effect from 1 December 2004. Trading of the Shares                        
    on the Main Board under the new English stock short                       
    name of "China Haidian" and new Chinese stock short                       
    name of "*" will take effect on 19 January 2005.                          
                                                                              
    Reference is made to the announcements of the Company                     
    dated 20 October 2004 and 2 December 2004 and the                         
    circular of the Company dated 28 October 2004                             
    ("Circular") with respect to the proposed change of                       
    company name. Terms used herein shall have the same                       
    meanings as those defined in the Circular.                                
                                                                              
    The Board is pleased to announce that the change of                       
    name of the Company from "China Everbright Technology                     
    Limited" to "China Haidian Holdings Limited" and the                      
    adoption of "*" as the Chinese name of the Company was approved by the    
    Shareholders at the extraordinary general meeting of the Company held     
    on 1 December 2004 and the certificate of                                 
    incorporation on change of name was issued by the                         
    Registrar of the Companies in the Cayman Islands on                       
    6 December 2004 and the relevant certificate of                           
    registration of change of name of oversea company was                     
    issued by the Registrar of Companies of Hong Kong on                      
    12 January 2005. Accordingly, the Company has                             
    completed all necessary filing procedures in relation                     
    to the change of company name with the Registrar of                       
    the Companies in the Cayman Islands and the Registrar                     
    of Companies in Hong Kong. The new name came into                         
    effect on 1 December 2004. Trading of the Shares on                       
    the Main Board of The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong                         
    Limited ("Main Board") under the new English stock                        
    short name of "China Haidian" and new Chinese stock                       
    short name of "*"will take effect on 19 January 2005.                     
                                                                              
    The change of the Company's name will not affect any                      
    rights of the Shareholders. All existing share                            
    certificates bearing the former name of "China                            
    Everbright Technology Limited" shall continue to be                       
    effective as documents of title to the Shares of                          
    HK$0.10 each in the capital of the Company and to be                      
    valid for trading, settlement and registration                            
    purposes. With effect from 19 January 2005, new share                     
    certificates will be issued in the new name of the                        
    Company. Shareholders should note that there will not                     
    be any free exchange of share certificates bearing                        
    the former name of "China Everbright Technology                           
    Limited" for share certificates under the new name                        
    of "China Haidian Holdings Limited *". Share
