We have noted the recent increases in the price and the trading volume of the shares of the Company and wish to state that we are not aware of any reasons for such increases. Save as the joint announcements dated 29 December 2003 and 13 December 2004 in relation to, amongst others, the subscription of the South Sea Notes by Robina, a wholly owned subsidiary of Sino-i, Capital Reduction and Distribution, and the Sale and Purchase Agreement (Capitalized terms used in this letter have the same meaning as defined in the aforesaid joint announcements of the Company and Sino-i), we also confirm that there are no negotiations or agreements relating to intended acquisitions or realizations which are discloseable under rule 13.23, neither is the Board aware of any matter discloseable under the general obligation imposed by rule 13.09, which is or may be of a price-sensitive nature.
