    The Stock Exchange has received a message from Shun Cheong Holdings       
    Limited which is reproduced as follows:-                                  
                                                                              
    "This statement is made at the request of The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong 
    Limited.                                                                  
                                                                              
    We have noted the today's increase in the price and the increase in       
    trading volume of the shares of the Company and wish to state that we are 
    not aware of any reasons for such increase in the price and increase in   
    trading volume.                                                           
                                                                              
    We also confirm that there are no negotiations or agreements relating to  
    intended acquisitions or realizations which are discloseable under        
    rule 13.23, neither is the Board aware of any matter discloseable under   
    the general obligation imposed by rule 13.09, which is or may be of a     
    price-sensitive nature.                                                   
                                                                              
    As at the date hereof, the board of directos of the Company comprises of  
    eight directors, of which five are Executive Directors, namely Mr. Chan   
    Yuen Keung, Zuric, Mr. Hong Yiu, Mr. Yu Sek Kee, Stephen, Mr. Au Shiu Wai,
    Frank and Mr. Au Yu Fai, Patrick; and three are Independent Non-Executive 
    Directors, namely Dr. Chan Chok Ki, Mr. Ho Hin Kwan, Edmund and Mr. Yu Hon
