    The Stock Exchange has received a message from GOME Electrical Appliances 
    Holding Limited which is reproduced as follows:-                          
                                                                              
    "This statement is made at the request of The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong 
    Limited (the "Stock Exchange").                                           
                                                                              
    The board of directors (the "Board") of GOME Electrical Appliances Holding
    Limited (the "Company") noted the increase in trading volume of the       
    Company in today and wishes to state that, save as mentioned below,       
    the Board is not aware of any reasons for such increase.                  
                                                                              
    Save as disclosed in the Company's announcement dated 29 November 2004 in 
    relation to the interim results announcement for the financial statements 
    for the period from 1 April 2004 to 30 September 2004, we confirm that    
    there are no negotiations or agreements relating to intended acquisitions 
    or realisations which are discloseable under rule 13.23 of the Listing    
    Rules, nor is the Board aware of any matter discloseable under the general
    obligation imposed by rule 13.09 of the Listing Rules, which is or may be 
    of a price-sensitive nature.
