    Change of Company Name                                                    
                                                                              
    The Cross-Harbour (Holdings) Limited (the "Company") announces that with  
    effect from 17th May, 2000, the name of the Company has been changed from 
    "The Cross-Harbour Tunnel Company, Limited" to "The Cross-Harbour         
    (Holdings) Limited".  Trading of the Company's shares on The Stock        
    Exchange of Hong Kong Limited (the "Stock Exchange") under the new name   
    will take effect on 19th May, 2000.                                       
                                                                              
    CHANGE OF COMPANY NAME                                                    
                                                                              
    Reference is made to the Circular Letter to Shareholders dated 31st       
    March, 2000 and the Announcement dated 6th April, 2000 in relation to the 
    proposed change of name of the Company.  The Board of Directors of the    
    Company is pleased to announce that the special resolution regarding the  
    change of name of the Company from "The Cross-Harbour Tunnel Company,     
    Limited" to "The Cross-Harbour (Holdings) Limited" was passed unanimously 
    by the Shareholders at the Annual General Meeting of the Company held     
    on 5th May, 2000.  The Certificate of Incorporation on Change of          
    Name was issued by the Registrar of Companies on 17th May, 2000 and was   
    received by the Company on 17th May, 2000.                                
                                                                              
    TRADING ARRANGEMENTS                                                      
                                                                              
    The shares of the Company ("Shares") are quoted on Stock Exchange.        
    The abovementioned change of name will not affect any of the rights of    
    the Shareholders of the Company.  All existing share certificates in      
    issue bearing the former name of the Company continue to be evidence of   
    title to the Shares and continue to be valid for trading, settlement      
    and delivery for the same number of Shares in the new name of the         
    Company.  Accordingly, there will not be any arrangements for free        
    exchange of existing share certificates for new share certificates        
    under the new name.  Since the change of name has become effective and    
    the Company has completed all necessary filing procedures with the        
    Registrar of Companies in Hong Kong, any new share certificates of        
    the Company will be issued in the new name of the Company with effect from
    17th May, 2000.                                                           
                                                                              
    Trading of the Company's Shares on the Stock Exchange under the new name  
    will take effect from 19th May, 2000.
