HSI to hit 20,000 points in 2003November 1, 2001
With an accurate prediction for the down turn of the Chinese markets (4/28/2001; 7/5/2001; 8/14/2001), the bubble burst of the red chips in HK (6/14/2001), and the significant down turn before September 11 for both US and HK (9/1/2001), the author now tries to cast another surprise to the investment market in Hong Kong, especially in front of the bankers, financial officials, the managers of the investment houses, and even the chief executive of the SAR, who all recently painted a very bleak out look for the general economics of HK as well as HSI. HK budget deficit will hit HK$ 100 billion (US$12.8 billion) for the year. The author already sees light in the other end of the tunnel, and wants to forecast that HSI of Hong Kong will reach twenty thousand points by 2003. The author believes that HK has now past the last phase of the bear market, and the last HSI low of 8,900 points has a very high chance to become the low point of this cycle. Given this outlook, investors should buy blue chip stocks in the coming months, instead of shivering on the gloomy outlook and sell out the one's stock holding. Therefore, this is a big contrast with the major investment attitude. If he is correct again this round, remember who told you so!
