Re: Hakka Conference Presentation

Dear David,

Thanks for your compliment. Please join our forum in discussion. I am forwarding this email to the forum too.
A main theme I can never stress enough, if I have not the time to do so at the conference, is Hakkas should also look at other elements of Chinese culture and consider them part of our own. Only then, can we appreciate the greatness of our culture.

Happy New Year!

Professor Lee,

I am very impressed with your interesting and informative presentation at the Toronto Hakka Conference.  I grew up in Jamaica and left there in 1974 when I was 19.  I am first genearation born Chinese Jamaican and now live in Toronto. My children (Daughterand Son) are first generation Chinese-Jamaican-Canadian. I have a keen interest in the Hakka culture and believe that we need to preserve it.

I took the liberty to download your presentation and I look forward to your future works.

Yours truly,
David Chung
