Yuan Mongol rulers' line of descent actually Chinese!

After only a year's reign the Sung Emperor, Gongzong was captured by the
Mongols after the battle of Hangzhou in 1276. The regent and the 6 year old
emperor capitulated to the Mongols and was taken prisoner with the entire
court to Kublai Khan's capital in the north, Shangdu (modern Beijing).
Kublai Khan gave the former Sung emperor an honorary title (Duke of Yingguo)
and had him educated as a Buddhist lama monk in Tibet for a while. He was
eventually married to a captured Muslim Turkish princess.

Gongzong's unexplained (many said forced) suicide in 1323 led to curious
rumours, including the suggestion that he was the real father of the future
Mongol emperor Toghon Temur (1333-1367).Although Toghon Temur claimed the
previous Mongol-Yuan emperor,Khoshila as his father, he was widely believed
to be the son of the captured Sung emperor, Gongzong, by a Turkish Muslim
mother whom Khoshila had taken away from Gongzong and adopted.

Unlike other Mongol rulers, Toghon Temur was young and weak. He was also the
longest reigning. Most Mongol rulers reigned an average of only 4 years.
Toghon, had treated the Chinese populace the worst of all Mongol rulers. He
confiscated their weapons and tools. He even suggested the extermination of
all Chinese with the five most popular
names, which was some 90 percent of the population!

This led to native Chinese revolt and in 1368, Toghon and his family were
exiled back to Mongolia and China was now under the rule of the Ming
Dynasty. Later, Toghon's descendants continued the Mongol line under the
Khalkas. Their descendants today still live in both China and Mongolia.
But, we all know whether they are true Mongols or not! Should they claim
Genghis Khan as their real ancestor or should they check the DNA and try to
compare with the deceased Sung emperors! I hope Genghis Khan can sleep well
in his grave (that bloody murderor)!
I have a very dear Mongolian penpal, and I hope she will understand her true
history.
