i am hindu from mauritius..i happened to see one of your messages abt 
hakkaology.

perhaps you should contact the National University of Singapore.
There is a large community of mauritian chinese studying over there...from 
there you should get the addresses of the various chinese organisations in 
Mauritius.

there are i think chinese from macao,and hakka.they speak mandarin and 
hakka..
also in mauritius are:
hindus from bihar,utar pradesh..with a slight distinction in castes..mainly 
among the rajputs and kshatryas..the others have mainly regrouped among the 
vaishs..
shite muslims
africans from mozambique zanzibar and i think ,madagascar

europeans from england and france.


i am not implying i am correct for the above info..but i hope they can help 
you find those you seek.

I am personnaly interested in human migrations,in general..
i hope to hear from u one day
