Sydney Olympics, justice and fairplay

Clem,

While Olympic should be an international game promoting friendship,
diversity and sportsmanship of all nations, it has been tainted by
conspiracies and corruptions. On the China-US women soccer game, even the
NBC commentators felt that the referee was unfair to the Chinese team in
penalizing a handball, which was incidental. And more obvious was that she
made sure the goalie Gao Hong stand at the goal line. She is the same
referee who did not penalize the American team during the last World cup
when the American goalie was illegally positioned several feet in front of
the goal line and thus was able to block the goal shot. That led to the US
"championship". Being an American Chinese, both teams are my favorites. I
just wish there is true justice and fairness in the game. It is fortunate
that Gao Hong blocked the goal kick and the followup to tie the game. Or, it
could be a riot.

The corruption of Utah state officials in getting the Olympic game is
already a well known scandal.

Dr. Wen Ho Lee is another case of outright racial discrimination and
injustice that should worth our attention. You can see some the following:

and the article I just cited earlier.

As Hakka Chinese, we have suffered a lot of prejudice and discriminations.
It is time for us to unite and assert our rights for equality.
