Recent Hakka websites
There's been a growth of Hakka websites and Caribbean Chinese websites lately.
See http://www.chinesejamaican.com for articles about the Hakkas from
Jamaica and other parts of the world, it's a very good website with a
variety of writers.
See http://www.jamaicanchinese.com for information on how to purchase a
book about Hakkas from Jamaica now living in Canada, this is a fabulous
website and there are several reviews of the book at this website which are
quite interesting.
See http://www.niagara.com/atteck/ for information on a book about Chinese
migrants to Trinidad from China, a voyage that occurred in 1862, it
contains the names of the immigrants and their family that travelled with
them, this was during indentureship in the 19th century.
See http://CGRoots.tripod.com for information about the Chinese in Guyana,
it's a wonderful and educational website with all the ships and background
history.
See http://www.members.home.net/hakka for information on a Toronto Hakka
conference which will take place Dec 28-30, 2000.
That's all for now.
