The English version of Chinese books

I wonder if you have heard of this book entitled Midnight (子夜)  by Mao
Dun (茅盾) whose real name is Shen Yan Bing (沈雁冰) the former Minister
of Culture in PRC. Thousands of young Australians have read and studied it
because this book is included in the list of reading for the first year
art student in a university here
