回 鄉 偶 書 
Returning home


少 小 離 家 老 大 回
I left home when I was young, at old age I returned home,

鄉 音 無 改 鬢 毛 催;
I still had the hometown accent, though my hair had turned grey.

兒 童 相 見 不 想 識,
I met the hometown children who knew me not,

笑 問 客 從 何 處 來。
Laughingly the children ask me, where I was from.
