To Charles

Charles,

Apparently you still don't get it.

Yes, I do consider Moi Yan as my homeland, as the land of my ancesters.
Hakkas overseas, including our families, have contributed much to the
economy of Moi Yan even though we don't live there but we all take great
pride in its existence and well being. We did it for the LOVE of a
homeland. Did you not do things and fight for the LOVE of something that
you believe in, for instance for your loved ones?

As for the differences in Culture, Customs, etc. between the Hakkas and
Cantonese, why is there a need to go into details? The biggest
difference and the most obvious one is the Language. What other
difference do you need?

As I have posted before, I do disagree with Dr. Lau and his concept of a
Jiaying Province. But I don't question his motive. If a person can't
stand up for his beliefs, then that person ceases to exist, may be not
physically but mentally. If we disagree, we should try to bring out
valid arguments to change a person's mind and I think you have a few
good ones. But your "Do any of you have intentions to move to JiaYing
Province?" is tantamout to questioning a person's motive. Isn't LOVE
enough?
