Re: Save the hakka language
Hi Clem Lee,
It's nice to hear from you. I was beginning to think that no one reads
anything that I usually write at the asiawind forum. I'm forwarding your
message to Dr. Keith Lowe, the co-ordinator of the Toronto Hakka
Conference, and who knows what may happen. Tell all your family and friends
about the conference and make sure they know about it.
The Hakka conference website is at http://www.members.home.net/hakka
Sincerely,
Henrietta.
p.s. did you go to the first Asian Hakka conference in Jakarta, Indonesia
last week Thursday? How many countries participated? (Do you live in
Indonesia?)
Do you, Clem, know anyone personally in Toronto who can teach the Hakka
language, do you have a contact for me? If you help me get a teacher, I
will find the students. And for all the other people reading this message
at the forum, you can send me a contact name and phone number for a
qualified Hakka language teacher who can teach Hakka and has the ability to
communicate in English well, and he/or she must be living in Toronto, and
it's a volunteer position.
