RE: Hakka Women
Hi Tracy, I finally got the painting and it is in my web site under
music/art. This is the painting depicting the Sung Emperor thanking the
Hakka women for saving his life from the pursuing Mongol forces. The
bibliography is under the "information" section.
Sorry for the late reply. As for those requesting genealogy from me, I am
typing in "slowly" in my web site. You are welcome to check out the
introduction article under "genealogy" section.

Previous notes:
>Also, Hakka women also have an exclusive title known as "Ju Ren". This
tittles bestowed by emperor during Sung dynasty. The emperor was chased by
advancing Mongolian force. As Mongolian force was catching up the emperor in
the Hakka area, the Hakka women appeared in organized rows, carrying suckle,
the Mongolian thought they were emperor's reinforcement and retreated. The
emperor was grateful and bestowed that title for all Hakka women. In some
Hakka older graves, Hakka women still use that titles. I saw a famous
painting that depict Hakka women receiving honor from emperor, painted by a
famous painter.
