Up to now I have some idea of your father's language, and I suspect that it
belongs to the family of "Jianmi" dialects, which is an offshoot of the
Huizhou Bendihua. Before I am dead sure, I want further imforamtion about
the pronunciations of:

1. society (disyllabic), is the first syllable spoken the same as  
D. neither of A, B, C.
2. drought, is it the same sound as
A. the first syllable of the "Chinese race" 

3. mother's brother, is it spoken the same as
A. "deduce"

4. sit, is it spoken the same as
A. "wrong" (tso)

5. look= t'ai (sounds similar to Cantonese with twang)
6. stand  = k'i (k'i hi sun)
7. elephant = t'ai p'un ts'oeng (the oe= cantonese he/she's  koey)
8. healthy (disyllabic) = k'in k'ong
