Hakkas in Meizhou

It is both sad and alarming to learn this. The
influence of Cantonese is very strong, especially with
the media. Meizhou, the centre of Hakka civilisation,
will soon be like Hong Kong and Kuala Lumpur (Hakkas
used to dominate KL).
Another way is to curb the influence of Cantonese.
With HK now under China, even Hongkongers are learning
Mandarin. Cantonese may not have her strong influence
as before.
