Hakka vs Hakka ancestry; Hakka issues
I have read many of the comments and discussions here.
Here are my 2 cents worth of naive comments:
1. If a dead person had never proclaimed that he was a
Hakka, and we should not say that he was a Hakka, can
we say that he has Hakka ancestry?
2. I guess our (although we are all Hakkas) thinking
and comments on Hakka issues are influenced by our
environment more or less. A Hakka in China/Taiwan/HK
may see things differently from an Overseas Chinese
(Hakka). Also, Hakkas in Taiwan are influenced by
Minan/Mandarin environment; Hakkas in HK are
influenced by Cantonese environment. Others may be
influence by an English-speaking environment.
