You are Hakka, but your Ancestor was Pre-Hakka

Dear Sherman,

Don't be angry. If you understand my points clearly, a Hakka doesn't have
to get a Hakka ancestor more than a millennium years ago. Zhang Jiuling as
a Guangdongren at that time was Pre-Hakka, Pre-Cantonese, Pre-Min, etc.
Remember my comparison to the Bauers. Mr. Z. Bauer spoke German when he
came in 1600 to the New Continent and had no sense of US at at. Now his
children speak English, French and Spanish in US, Quebec and Meixico. I
think no one insists that Mr. Z. Bauer is US, or Canadian or Meixican
because his children are!

Moreover, I met some Cantonese Cheungs who claim Zhang Jiuling as ancestor,
but it is not important according to my interpretation. Hakka did not exist
as a group feeling at that old days, they first appeared after 1700,
comparable to US citizenship. Pre-Hakka and Pre-cantonese called themselves
Tangren before they had conflict with each other. Compare the case of India
and Pakistan.

If we trace back in the traditional way, then Adam is a Hakka.
