Hakka in the new millennium

Dr. Liu and Mr. Fong,

<<My answer to your question: Your ancestor who came to Dongguan in the
Jin Dynasty was no way Hakka, but you are 100% Hakka. ....>>

According to the definition of Dr. Liu, those who speaks Hakka should be
called real Hakka, right? If my ancestors in Dongguan are not
considered Hakka, what do you think they were speaking?

American is the name given to the continent after the whites'
"discovery". However, the native Americans are still called native
Americans even their ancestors have been here since BC. Or you can call
them Mohicans, Apaches.....

I hate to waste time and bandwidth on this topic. It is not meaningful
to distinguish who is 100% Hakka and who is 55% Hakka. We are all
Chinese. The only reason to study Hakka is to be able to learn more
about the Chinese culture as it existed so that we don't forget our
heritage. I think we are way off the topic as defined by the title
"Hakka in the new millennium". Let's talk about the future.
