This Hakka nursery rhyme appears in the No.37 issue of the "Nanyang Khek Community Guild Bulletin, 20 Peck Deah Street, Singapore 079312 Tel: 2210605" Its author is Tu Xiang Sheng (Ò\ ²» ¥Í) who uses this nursery to describe the 18 scholars who were, quring the Qing Dynasty (1644AD to 1911AD), born and grew up in Qing Keng village («C§|§ø), Kan (§¢) city in Yong Ding county (¥Ã©w¿¤) of Fujian province (ºÖ«Ø¬Ù).

During the reign of Emperor Qian Long (°®¶© reign 1736AD to 1795AD), in
a certain examination, there were 18 young men from Qing Keng village
passed the Xiu Cai (¨q¤~) examination. Emperor Qian Long praised the
mountain near Qing Keng the first mountain (²Ä¤@¤s).
