Jiaying Province...and my Disagreement w/ John Chan's views.

Hi John,

First, there are other Counties that are just a Hakka as Meixian, I see
that you neglected us Wuhuaites, or Xinningites or Taipuites or
Yongdingites, or Changtingites etc....I can see that you already built a
wall of seperation already.

These Counties in Guangdong, Jiangxi and Fujian are 100% Core Hakka
Areas, it pays to protect our original "Launch pad" of our Migrations,
these places were hwere we started from, Liu Zinfad has said that the
Dialect and Culture has started to erode there, I believe that a province
is a Good Idea, so is Conscienceness of their Dialect and Culture is also
a good Idea, put the province and shoring up dialect/culture...in the
province is a Grand idea.

And what has the rest of the Chinese people done to us, they laugh at us,
the smirk, they insult our dialect (had a recent fight with a Mandarin
Chauvinist)...that is no way to treat fellow Chinese..yet they insist
that we speak Cantonese or Mandarin for our own good, yes, for wider
audiences, but, we must keep our dialect too...but, I see some Mandarin
Adherents tell us to throw out our dialect.

There are some open minded people, but, sometimes I see alot of
Mandarin/Cantonese closeminded people as well....who like to tell us to
abandon our ways and our customs and our language.

"It is better, to seek a province, than to see our Culture and our
Dialect Erode into Nothingness."

And Hakka Territory is NOT Limited to Just Meixian, It Comprises many
Counties, Some in Dongjiang, Jiayingzhou, Tingzhou, Southern Jiangxi
etc...

and Some Like Satdiugok, Danshui, Bao'an, Dongguan etc...

Please open your mind a little more.

Sherman Cheung (Chong, Tsong, Zhang)

"As the uniqueness of the Hakka people, I agree with some of the speakers
that an attempt to getting an independent territory or a province of
Hakka
people would start build a wall among the Chinese people, as a
consequence it would isolate us among our poeple. It is better to live
harmoniously together while
learn to appreciate and treasure the sub-cultures among us. Besides, I
think we already have an imaginery territory already-- the Mei-xian, one
would sub-consciously think of the Hakka when hearing that word. Cheers!"
