Hakka republic is a bit too far fetch, because it takes blood shed to
achieve. We all know our ancestors' record in warfare: 
We were defeated by the barbarian who forced us to migrate South.   Our
Hakka warrior Yeu Fei who defeated the Mongolian all the way to Huang Long
Fu only to have his head chopped off by the emperor, another Hakka prime
minister Wen Tian Shiang could not stem the tide causing a bunch of Hakkas
died in Hong Kong area (else Hong Kong would have belongs to Hakkas). Hong
Xiu Cheng tried to establish Tai Peng Tian Kuo, a christian nation occupied
the whole Southern part of China, still defeated by a Confucian scholar,
Cheng Kuo Fan !  Barbarian, emperor, even a confucius scholar could defeat
us, I won't bet on a republic.
