I have finished my research Master's Theses on Hakka settlement pattern in Parit 3 (Kecamatan Jebus) and Belinyu, BANGKA Island, Indonesia. There are more interesting field finding about transformation of Hakka settlement from roundhouse in China to linear pattern in Bangka and I hope I can presenting this new field finding in World Hakka Conference 99 in Penang.
There are 3 main topics can presented, namely (1) Hakka settlement pattern, (2) Hakka's Hungry Ghost Festival in Parit 3, Bangka (August 25, 1999), (3) Social interaction of Hakka and native community (Malay and Javanese) in Belinyu, Bangka.
