"The Stubborn Hakka People" (2)

(2) Presently, the dance of three "Zhong Hua" begins with the sound
    of the Hakka flute

The tremendous influence of the Hakka People is not only felt in China
but also outside of China. At present the paramount leader in China is
Deng Xiao-ping, (this book was written in 1995) who is a Hakka from the
province of Sichuan. However, people will be surprised to know that the
President of Taiwan, Lee Teng-Hui, and the Prime Minister of Singapore,
Lee Kuan-yew both are Hakka as well. That shows that the power of these
three "Zhong Hua' is in the hands of three Hakkas.

The unique characters of the Hakkas are thorough pragmatism. The Hakka
People have no main ideology but they will consider by using practical
system of ideas to achieve the benefits. Deng Xiao-ping's motto is: "It
does not matter whether it is a white cat or black cat as long as it
catches mice then it is a good cat." China has achieved much progress
financially since he applied his pragmatism on socialistic economy.

Under Lee Deng-hui Taiwan prospers. The success of Singapore to become
the financial hub of Southeast Asia is kneaded single-handedly by Lee
Kuan-yew who is a Mei Xian Hakka.
