yup u r rite mr chung my paternal family are all in the zhejiang area. i kno
for sure that there r clans outside of ningbo. some of them have migrated to
shanghai and jiangsu. one person from that area said that there r a lot of
she people with that surname.
my aunt said that the clan came from gansu and were descendents of
aristocrats. isnt it refreshing to finally see a surname that originated
from the south. it might very well be a surname adopted by aboriginal
tribesmen and then added a story about the flood to it. hey EKKI u always
talk about ur hundred yuet, well i m the real thing from the land of the yue
kingdom(the original), and guess what? i m chinese. i dont have delusions of
grandeur about extinct ethnic groups.
