Re: your Asian Web site

Hello all the Hakkas Friends,

Can someone please help Tinternab as I am a bit out of touch
with the history of China in the 1940s.

Sincerely
Yoon-Ngan

Perhaps you can help me with some old memories. Do you know of a General Li
(or Lee) who was, at one time, Chaing Kai-Shek's vice president? As a little
girl, I remember having been at a banquet with him. My mother told me he had
to flee the mainland because he had offered the people a "middle ground" as
was an enemy of both of Chiang and Mao. I remember a visit to the General's
house in Weschester County, NY during the 1950s.
Can you provide me with information of this man? I have done research in
textbooks, but have found nothing. Thank you.
(I, too, love Mozart.)

                                                  Sincerely,

                                                  Tinternab
