"Ginger Wine Chicken" (Gai-e piak)
Another permutation of this healthy Hakka dish is to substitute
Rice Wine (Is it Chinese Sake?) with Cream Sherry
God knows what other cooking oil (used by Chinese or Hakka) for Olive
and Drumstick Tips instead of Chicken breasts.
I heard it is good for Health and for childbirth, and for people who
like the taste of
Cream Sherry, Chicken and Ginger.
My family calles it "Grandmothers Chicken", becuase she used to make it
family during the refugee years on "Cheung Chau Island in Hong Kong".
P.s. I could get ostracized from the family for sharing this, But I feel
deserves to be shared.
