Hakka translation of 'You2yi2"

Dear Mr. Chung,

Since your stories are told in English and the Pinyin in Mandarin, I would
like to translate it into Hakka paragraph by paragraph so as to share with
all Hakka speakers. I hope you like it.

You Yu or Hesitate 
Yiu2 yi2
       
    You (Hesi) and Yu (Tate) were the names of two kinds of wild animals.
They both belonged to the ape species. You (Hesi) was a large kind of
tailess monkey and Yu (Tate) of the short tails kind. 
    Yiu2 lau1 yi2 he4 liong3zung3 ya1xin4 e4 miang2. Gia1deu2 du1 sug6yi1
yan2lui4. Yiu2 he4 yid5zung3 bi3gau4 tai4 e4 mau2mui1 heu2go1. Yi2 qiu4 he4
don3mui1 e4.

   When they went for food or when they played amongst themselves,  
on hearing any sound they panicked. They suspected that something unfriendly
was approaching them. Quickly, they would climb up the trees. Hiding amongst
the bushy leaves on the tree branches, they would stick out their heads and
stealthily look around trying to fathom what was going on.

  After a little while they would jump down from the trees. While on the
ground they still looked around as if awaiting for something that would
spring up at them. A short while later without hesitation and in a state of
panic they climbed up the trees again suspecting something extrodinary was
coming to get them.  
   Guo4 e4 cin4gian1 gia1deu1 voi4 da3 su4dang3 tiau4 ha1loi2, tan4he4 coi1
ti4mian4 song4 gia1deu1 han2he4 zu1vui2 mong4, hau3qiong4 giang1 yiu1
mag5gai4 dong1xi1 voi4 tiau4 cud5loi4 gia1deu1 e4 sin1song4 an3yong4. Yiu4
guo4 do1 yid5cin4, giag5giag5 lau1 hau3 gin3zong1 an3yong4, gia1deu1 yiu4

  As usual they hid among the leaves sticking out their heads peeping.  
In no time they would come down on the ground. And again without any 
reason they would climb up the trees quickly.  
   Lau1 pin2song2 an3yong4 gia1deu1 yiu4 biang4 zoi1 su4yap6 zung1gian1,
dam1teu2 cud5loi2 teu1kon4. Mau2 liang3ha4 gia1deu1 yiu4 log6dau4

 All day long they were just climbing up and down the trees aimlessly.  
They were always at the stage of indecisiveness.      
  An3yong4, sang2ngid5cong2 gia1deu1 du1he4 mau2zu2mau2yi4, pa2song1 pa2
ha1. Gia1deu1 bun1 ngin2 gog5ded5 mau2 giad5tin4 nen2lid6.

   When the names of these two types are combined together it becomes 
You Yu (Hesi tate) which means : indecisive; uncertain. 
   Jiong1 e3 liong3 zung3 tung4vud6 e4 miang2 gab5 hi3loi2, qiu4 bian4 e3
yiu2yi2, jid5he4 gong3 mau2zu3yi4, m2ken3tin4.

(The story is told in the Meixian dialect, and spelt in this accent except
for the spelling bui, pui, mui, fui, vui which do not appear iin the Meixian
accent but in the Bao'an accent. They are pronounced bi, pi, mi, fi, vi
respectively in the mexian accent.)
