The Unearthed Artifacts



Extracted from the "From Guest People to Citizens" magazine, 1997:

The artifacts on display are on loan from the Guangdong Provincial Museum
of China. They were unearthed from areas in Guangdong Province where the
early Hakkas lived. The artifacts are indicative of the history of the
Hakka people, and their relation to the Han people as a whole. The
artifacts date back to the earliest recorded Chinese history. The artifacts
show that the Hakka people was part of the Han people.

- Pottery Figurines of Servent from Eastern Han (25 AD - 220 AD)
- Pottery Hu Vessel from Eastern Han (25 AD - 220 AD)
- Bronze Spearhead from Eastern Jin (317 - 420AD)
- Tomb Brick from 8th  year of Tai Shi reign, Eastern Jin (272AD)
- Epitaph of Zhang Jiuling of Tang (740 AD)
- Bronze Mirror of Eastern Han (25 AD - 230 AD)
- Pottery Poultry Coop of Western Jin (265 - 317AD)
- Bronze Mirror of Tang (618-907AD)
- Green-Glazed, Three-Legged Jar of Tang (618 - 907 AD)
- Green-Glazed Pottery Cup of Sui (581 - 618 AD)
- Zodiac Animals of Song (960 - 1279 AD)
- Silver Ingots of Song (960 - 1279AD)
